A formula for ounces? Seriously? 8 ounces liquid is one cup16 ounces liquid is two cups 14.5 ounces liquid is between 8 ounces liquid and 16 ounces liquid.

Your nifty little liquid measuring cup should have markings for ounces. If it doesn"t, buy one that does.
